The Courses

There are a number of courses in the region, including Golf Les Dunes which was developed in 1991 is located just 10km from the city and features 27 holes. The renowned golf course designer Cabell B. Robinson has created something amazing – with the three loops of nine featuring four lakes as well as local vegatation such as eucalyptus, genets, tamaris and palm-trees.

Another 27 hole course is Golf de l’Ocean which is one of the newer courses having opened in 2010. Located just on the outskirts of Agadir, this Par 72 parkland course offers an excellent challenge.

Positioned between the coast and the mountains, Golf du Soleil is an 18 hole championship golf course thats hosted the Ladies European Tour, Challenge Tour, and EPD Tour so you can be assured of its quality.

What Else To Do

Already mentioned is the long stretch of tranquil beach which is clean and has lifeguards patrolling during summer months. You can also explore the La Médina d’Agadir which is a full re-creation of the original that perished in an earthquake. Here you’ll find a museum as well as local artists presenting their work.

High up on the hill you can hike to Agadir Kasbah which is a set of fortifications dating back to 1541 and one of the few buildings that managed to withstand the earthquake. You can also experience Souk El Had d’Agadir which is a traditional market selling lots of traditional crafts and items including leather goods and a wide range of spices.

Other activities include relaxing in a Hammam which, although not exclusive to the region, is popular in Moroccan culture.
