At that time of year probably the best place to get Winter sun and quality golf would be the Canary Islands, and particularly Tenerife which has a number of courses within a short distance and great nightlife in areas like Las Americas and Costa Adeje. Alternatively the Belek region of Turkey would be a superb option, with stunning 5 star resorts offering all-inclusive board which really helps larger groups who don’t want to manage a drinks kitty.

In August the familiar choices of the Algarve and the Spanish mainland should be extremely warm and possibly a bit uncomfortable for some golfers so perhaps a visit to Lisbon’s Silver Coast with it’s fantastic golf courses like Penha Longa and Oitavos Dunes but it’s slightly cooler temperature would be a better option. Alternatively, why not stay closer to home and take a UK golf break? No matter where you are located, we have some excellent options which won’t be too far away to drive to.

Where To Play Golf Over Christmas
Its not often that this type of opportunity comes around so why not make sure that you take advantage of this unique chance to get much more golf in than you would be normally entitled to and spend the Christmas in some sunshine with no fear of course closures? We recommend Gran Canaria at this time of year which is popular for British and Irish golfers at this time of year or if you fancy something longer haul then Dubai or Abu Dhabi provide a real opportunity to make some memories and tick off some bucket list golf courses.
